Frequently asked questions
How much smaller will my PDF get?
It depends on the content. PDFs made from scans and photos often shrink by 50 to 90%. Mostly text PDFs are already small and may not shrink at all; in that case you get the original back.
Which level should I choose?
Balanced (150 dpi images) looks good on screen and prints fine for most documents. Strong (72 dpi) gives the smallest files for email and upload forms. Light (300 dpi) keeps print quality.
What happens to my file?
It's sent to our processing server, compressed with Ghostscript in a temporary folder and sent back. The temporary files are deleted immediately afterward. Limit: 50 MB per file.
