Walk the path from first contact to result
Check the offer, the page, the form, the handoff to the CRM and the sales rep's next action. At every step, ask: what does the person expect, what actually happens, and where can you see it in the data? A free website audit is a good first snapshot.
Don't draw conclusions from a single metric. Lots of clicks can hide the wrong audience, and low sales can be explained by negotiations that simply haven't closed yet. You need the context of the whole journey.

Separate real problems from missing measurement
If you don't know where a lead came from, that is a tracking task first. If the source is known but the inquiry gets lost because nobody owns it, that is a process task. A new ad channel won't fix either one on its own.
List your observations with evidence: the URL, an example, the period and the impact. Mark assumptions separately. That turns a list of ideas into a working plan of checks.

Pick one next change
Weigh the impact, the dependencies and the resources required. Remove the obstacles that block the main action first. After the change goes live, run the same scenario again and compare the results.
An audit should leave you with one change to make first. A digital plan records it along with the steps that follow (more in the 90-day digital plan). If you need this cycle running all the time, an outsourced digital team can own it.
